OrthoLinks Care Foundation, INC was formed by Dr Jason Hunt, a board certified orthopedic surgeon and founder of OrthoLinks Orthopedics and OrthoLinks Performance Center. Dr Hunt met Ricky Sailor, founder of Unsigned Preps soon after his arrival in Tampa. After meeting Ricky and seeing what Unsigned Preps was doing to to develop well rounded student athletes, Dr Hunt committed to not let an orthopedic injury be the barrier keeping Unsigned Preps athletes from their goal of receiving a college scholarship. (regardless of the athletes ability to pay) Unsigned Preps has assisted over 320 athletes with obtaining college scholarships and has helped generate over $28 million in scholarships. Dr Hunt has helped several of those athletes.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the economic and social impacts started to become apparent. This foundation was launched with the idea to support athletes and their families who had lost jobs or insurance coverage because of the pandemic. When athletes are competing, injuries are inevitable. Consider partnering with us to continue the legacy of providing orthopedic care to those in need. With your help we can help more people than ever before. We have been blessed to help several patients and families.
In our newest project we are fundraising to build and place ambulatory surgery centers in areas of rural America that have no surgery centers. The lack of surgical centers leads to the need for orthopedic surgery services to be performed in hospitals. There are areas with no surgical centers within a several hour drive. This will allow us to offer more affordable healthcare to patients and significantly lower healthcare costs. The financial impact will keep millions of dollars in patients pockets and provide a real stimulus to those economies.
